Baja Dogs’ free pet sterilization campaigns continued throughout August, thanks again to the generosity of our donors and to Karla Ramirez and her husband Jose, who donated their Salon Gastronomica event center so our campaigns can be held indoors during the summer heat. 85 dogs were sterilized in one day on August 28th, and 2 additional mini campaigns were held by our participating vets. We also provide sterilization vouchers to individuals in need, who can bring their pets to our veterinary partner offices to be sterilized for free. Baja Dogs compensates the vets for their work thanks to your generous donations. All together those efforts brought our total to 183 pets sterilized in August!

As always, our licensed veterinary partners Dr. Mario and team, Dr. Alan and team, and Dr. Fernando performed the surgeries. We also had 12 wonderful volunteers come to help with the campaigns, caring for the dogs pre and post surgery, organizing our campaign attendees and their pets, and doing all the many tasks it takes to put on a campaign. It’s a lot of work! In addition, local resident Melissa Perez of Dejando Huellitas, BCS, came on campaign day to provide educational talks to the attendees about responsible dog ownership. She was amazing and we appreciate her contribution! We thank them all, and of course, our generous donors, who make all of this possible!
