The food program was initiated in May of 2016 and feeds an average of 50 dogs a month that are part of the Adoption Support System. Every other Thursday, a team of volunteers shows up early to repackage the food that is delivered via Costco van. Food is distributed in 20 cup increments based on the number of dogs a particular rescuer is caring for.

Rescuers pick up dog food either during the morning or afternoon distribution times.

This is one of our most important programs and the commitment of the volunteers who tend to this is critical to the success of the overall Adoption Support System.

Dog Food is our single biggest expense and quality dog food is vital to successfully rehabilitate these dogs from a life where little or no decent food was consumed. With quality dog food, we can catch developmental problems in puppies caused by malnutrition before it is too late.

To all who help us keep this program going – you are saving many lives – thank you!!!
